Sportellidae

Sportellidae is a family of marine bivalve molluscs in the superfamily Cyamioidea. The shells are of moderate size and the two valves are alike (equivalve). The external ligament is on the outside. The hinge has one or two cardinal teeth, and the lateral teeth are small and not easily seen.
