Im Themightyquinn is a champion New Zealand–bred Australian Standardbred racehorse. A bay gelding trained by Gary Hall Jr, he became one of harness racing’s biggest stars, winning the Inter Dominion three times (2011, 2012 and 2013) and earning Australian Harness Horse of the Year three times. He was later inducted into the Inter Dominion Hall of Fame.

As a yearling, Im Themightyquinn was sold for just $13,000 and began racing in New Zealand with modest results. He was bought by Western Australian trainer Gary Hall Sr’s clients and moved to Australia, where his career soon showed his true talent.

Early seasons saw him build a strong record in WA and beyond, including wins in the Fremantle Cup and the Western Australian Pacing Cup. He also claimed the Auckland Trotting Cup and other major races, establishing himself as one of the top open-class pacers.

The 2011 Inter Dominion series, held in Auckland after the Christchurch earthquake, saw him perform strongly in the heats and gain the title after the final, when the race was decided following the disqualification of Smoken Up. He continued to shine in 2012, winning the Perth final after sweeping his heats, and he was named Australian Harness Horse of the Year again.

In 2013 he won a third Inter Dominion title, then added more big wins, including another Auckland Trotting Cup, and earned the Australasian Pacers Grand Circuit Champion award and Australia’s Harness Horse of the Year for the 2012–13 season. After a period of injury and illness, he remained competitive and added victories such as the Sunshine Sprint and The Blacks A Fake in 2014.

Im Themightyquinn was retired in 2015 after an injury while training for a potential fourth Inter Dominion. He finished his career with 111 starts for 58 wins, 21 seconds and 13 thirds, earning about $4.57 million. In 2024, more than a decade after his Inter Dominion wins, he still drew attention when he led the field for the Pinjarra Cup at Pinjarra Paceway.
