Guido Daniele
Guido Daniele (born 1950) is an Italian hyperrealist artist who lives and works in Milan. He was born in Soverato, Calabria. He studied sculpture at the Brera Academy in Milan, graduating in 1972, and then trained at the Tankas school in Dharamsala, India until 1974. He has worked as a hyperrealist illustrator for editors and advertising companies, using airbrush and other painting techniques. Daniele has painted large backdrops up to 400 square meters and created trompe-l’œil images for private homes and public buildings. In 1990 he developed body painting, which has been used in advertising, fashion events, and exhibitions. One of his best-known works is Handimals, where models' hands are painted to look like animals. He was named Hero of the Year in 2007 by Animal Planet.
