Hannah Chadwick
Hannah Chadwick (born January 24, 1992) is an American para-cyclist who competes in tandem track events for visually impaired athletes. She was born in China and spent part of her childhood with an adoptive family before moving to Arcata, California at age 12. She has been blind since birth and earned a degree in international relations and Mandarin Chinese from the University of California, Davis.
Chadwick trains in Colorado Springs with her pilot, Mary-Kate Wintz, and they have been teammates since 2019. She made her UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships debut in 2022, finishing fifth in the tandem B team sprint.
In 2023, she was named to Team USA for the Track World Championships and won bronze in the tandem sprint B with pilot Skyler Espinoza—the pair’s first sprint together. Later that year at the Parapan American Games, she won two gold medals: in the 3,000-meter individual pursuit (3:45.752) and in the 1,000-meter time trial (1:12.265, a Parapan American Games record). She also finished fourth in the women’s road race B.
In February 2024, she was named to Team USA’s roster for the 2024 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships and won bronze in the team sprint B, the United States’ first medal of the event.
