Wheatsville Co-op is a community-owned grocery cooperative in Austin, Texas, near the University of Texas campus. Founded in 1976 and named after the Wheatville neighborhood that was displaced, it operates as a consumer cooperative with more than 26,000 members. The store offers a full range of groceries, including organic produce, fresh meats, deli items, dairy, pet foods, and household goods, with a focus on local products. Led by General Manager Bill Bickford, Wheatsville generates over $30 million in annual revenue.
