2000 Cleveland Indians season

2000 was the Cleveland Indians’ 100th season. They played in the American League Central Division at Jacobs Field in Cleveland, Ohio. The team went 90–72 (.556) and finished in second place in the AL Central. They did not make the playoffs, the first time since 1993 they failed to win the division or reach the postseason.

The Indians were owned by Richard Jacobs, with John Hart as general manager and Charlie Manuel as manager. Two new players joined the team: Chris Coste and Mark Whiten.
