High Havoc
High Havoc is Corduroy’s second studio album, released in 1993 by Acid Jazz Records. Marketed as a concept album, it features several songs that became top ten hits on the UK Indie Chart and remains a fan favorite. The album was recorded in the summer of 1992 and runs about 50 minutes. It was produced by Ben Addison and Scott Addison. Singles from the album include The Frighteners and Something In My Eye, both released in 1993.
The record was reissued on vinyl in 2018 by Acid Jazz Records. Critics were mixed: Matt Mead of Louder Than War called the track London England a dancefloor classic of the 1990s and suggested it may have influenced Blur’s 1994 Alexandra Palace show. Select magazine gave it 1/5, calling it dull muzak. All tracks are credited to Ben Addison, Scott Addison, Richard Searle and Simon Nelson-Smith, except where noted.
