Giuseppe Russo
Giuseppe Russo (born 27 June 1983) is an Italian former footballer who played as a midfielder. He was born in Catania, Italy, and is 1.83 meters tall. He began his youth career with Atletico Catania (1995–1999) and Crotone (1999–2001), and later played for many Italian clubs, including Crotone, Messina, Rimini, Catanzaro, Grosseto, Cavese, Gallipoli, Hellas Verona, Ascoli (loan), Lumezzane, Ternana (loan), Catania, Siracusa, Biancavilla, and Acireale. Russo made 364 league appearances and scored 33 goals in his career. His longest spells were with Gallipoli (2007–2009) and Hellas Verona (2009–2013). After retiring, he became a coach and worked as an assistant at Padova (2020–2021), Mantova (2023), and CFR Cluj (2023–2024).
