Canton of Montivilliers

Montivilliers was a canton in northern France, in the Seine-Maritime department of the Haute-Normandie region (now Normandy). It covered about 97 square kilometers and included 11 communes, with the town of Montivilliers as its seat. In 2012, around 35,156 people lived there, giving a density of about 360 inhabitants per square kilometer. The area was mostly farmland and light industry in the Le Havre arrondissement. Elevation ranged from 0 meters at Cauville-sur-Mer to 118 meters at Manéglise, with an average of about 55 meters. The canton was disbanded in March 2015 during the nationwide canton reorganization.
