Grand Hotel Sofia is a five‑star hotel in the center of Sofia, Bulgaria, in the Sredets district. It is close to major sights like the Bulgarian National Theatre, the National Art Gallery, the National Archaeological Museum, and the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. The building is modern, with marble and glass. The hotel has 109 rooms, 13 luxury apartments, a gym, and one restaurant. It houses a collection of more than 400 original oil paintings. Hollywood stars have stayed here when filming in Bulgaria, and it hosted the M-Tel Masters chess tournament from 2005 to 2007.
