Top Quality
Top Quality, born T. Robinson, is a rapper from White Plains, New York. He was part of the hip hop group Hit Squad and was active mainly from 1992 to 1998. He signed with RCA Records in the early 1990s, becoming White Plains’ first rapper with a major label deal. After being featured in The Source magazine’s Unsigned Hype, PMD invited him to join Hit Squad, and RCA released his debut album Magnum Opus in May 1994. The album, which he executive produced, did not sell well and peaked at No. 95 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart. After RCA, Top Quality appeared on PMD's Shade Business (1994) and 3rd Eye's Planets (1998). His work has been played on NTS radio, with Magnum Opus first aired on November 21, 2017.
