Aryeh Shander
Aryeh Shander, MD, FCCM, FCCP, is an American anesthesiologist known for his work with bloodless procedures. He is Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology, Medicine and Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Chief of Anesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine, Hyperbaric Medicine and Pain Management at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. He also serves as Director of Research for TeamHealth Anesthesia. Shander has written many articles and books on anesthesiology, critical care, transfusion medicine and related fields. In 1997, Time magazine named him one of America’s Heroes of Medicine.
