Henry Sutherland Edwards
Henry Sutherland Edwards (5 September 1828 – 21 January 1906) was a British journalist. He was born in Hendon, London, and educated in London and France. He worked as a correspondent for The Times, reporting from the coronation of Alexander II of Russia, from Warsaw with the Polish insurgents in 1862–63, and from the German army headquarters during the Franco-Prussian War. In 1865 he became the chief music critic for The Morning Post, taking over from Howard Glover. He also regularly wrote for The Pall Mall Gazette. He was the first editor of the weekly illustrated newspaper The Graphic. Edwards died at his home in London on 21 January 1906 and was buried at St. John's Cemetery in Woking.
