Harry Bassi, born Harvinder Bassi on 26 November 1969, is a former Scottish rugby union player who usually played at centre or fullback. At amateur level he played for Glasgow High Kelvinside, and after it merged with Glasgow Academicals to form Glasgow Hawks, he continued with the Hawks. His career spanned both the amateur and professional eras. He represented Glasgow District at various levels, including Schools and Under-21, and later played for the professional Glasgow side (now Glasgow Warriors). In the 1996-97 season he played for Glasgow against European teams: away to Newbridge RFC in the European Conference (62-38 win) and at home to Sale Sharks (9-29 defeat). He was the centre in Glasgow’s first professional match against Newbridge and was given Glasgow Warrior No. 12.
