Yuma Kagiyama is a Japanese figure skater who competes in men’s singles. He was born on May 5, 2003, in Yokohama, Japan, and grew up in Nagoya. He started skating at age five. His father, Masakazu Kagiyama, is a former two-time Olympian and has been his longtime coach; in 2024 Carolina Kostner joined his coaching team. He studied sports science at Chukyo University.

Kagiyama is known for his speed, skating skills and consistency on the ice. He won Olympic silver medals in Beijing 2022—one in the men’s singles and one in the team event. He is a three-time World silver medalist (2021, 2022, 2024) and won a World bronze in 2025. He captured the Four Continents title in 2024. He has earned three Grand Prix Final medals, including silver in 2024–25, and has collected nine Grand Prix medals overall (eight gold, one bronze).

Nationally, he is a two-time Japanese champion (2024–25 and 2025–26). As a junior, he was the 2020 Youth Olympic champion, the 2020 World Junior silver medalist, and the 2019–20 Japan Junior champion. He has held junior world records for the free skate and the combined total. Off the ice, his hobbies include gaming, music, photography and watching anime. He looks up to skaters Yuzuru Hanyu, Shoma Uno and Nathan Chen.
