Lycodon jara
Lycodon jara, the twin-spotted wolf snake, is a small colubrid snake native to parts of Asia. It is found in Bangladesh, India (Assam, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, West Bengal and parts of Uttar Pradesh) and Nepal. The snout is flat and the eyes are small. The back has smooth scales in 17 rows. The anal scale is divided; ventrals number 167–175 and subcaudals 56–63 in two rows. In preserved specimens, the color is brown above with two white dots or short white lines on each scale; the labial scales are white; there is usually a white collar and a white underside. Total length is about 35 cm, with a tail about 6 cm. The species is listed as Least Concern.
