You Are So Beautiful (album)
You Are So Beautiful is a compilation album by American country singer Tanya Tucker. It was released in June 1977 by Columbia Records and produced by Billy Sherrill. The songs were recorded earlier while Tucker was with Columbia.
The album’s highest-charting track was “Spring,” which reached number 18 on the country chart in 1975. The title track, “You Are So Beautiful,” was released as a single around the album’s release and peaked at number 40 on the country chart. The album itself reached number 44 on the country albums chart, making it Tucker’s lowest-charting album at that time.
Columbia released “Spring” to compete with Tucker’s debut on MCA, which included the #1 country single “Lizzie and the Rain Man.” The album sits in Tucker’s discography between Ridin’ Rainbows (1977) and Tanya Tucker’s Greatest Hits (1978).
