Unity Jiu Jitsu
Unity Jiu-Jitsu is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu academy and team founded in 2015 in New York City. It was started by Paulo and Joao Miyao, Ana Lowry, Yago De Souza, and Murilo Santana, who leads the team as head instructor. The academy teaches Brazilian jiu-jitsu and grappling.
In its first world championships in 2015, Unity finished in the top ten academies with 19 points. In June 2020, the Miyao brothers left the team. Notable members over the years have included the Miyao brothers, Murilo Santana, Yago De Souza, Leandro Lo, Junny Ocasio, Ana Lowry, and others.
