Swallow (Steve Swallow album)
Swallow is a studio jazz album by bassist Steve Swallow, released in 1992 on the Xtra Watt label. It was recorded September–November 1991 at Grog Kill Studio in Willow, New York, and runs 50 minutes and 34 seconds. The album was produced by Carla Bley and Steve Swallow. In Swallow’s discography, it comes after Duets (1988) and before Go Together (1992). All nine tracks were written by Steve Swallow and the music features a sextet with guests. AllMusic gave the album 4.5 stars, with reviewer Michael G. Nastos praising Swallow as a premier electric bass guitarist and noting the sextet with guests.
