Angraecum penzigianum
Angraecum penzigianum is a comet orchid native to Madagascar. It grows as an epiphyte in mossy forests at elevations of about 1,000–2,000 meters and has been found in the Antsiranana, Fianarantsoa and Toamasina provinces. It was once thought to be confined to the Andringitra Massif, but its range is broader. The species is listed as Near Threatened (IUCN 3.1). Its main threats are slash-and-burn agriculture, cattle grazing, charcoal production and bush fires.
