Sucleia
Sucleia is a village in Transnistria, a region that is widely considered part of Moldova but is governed locally by a Transnistrian authority. It belongs to the Slobozia District and is part of the Tiraspol-Bendery urban area, near the city of Tiraspol. The village sits about 21 meters above sea level and is located at roughly 46.818°N, 29.667°E. Time zone is UTC+2 (summer UTC+3).
In Moldovan Cyrillic, Russian, and Ukrainian, the village is called Суклея (Sukleya).
Before 1990, Sucleia was in the Slobodzeya district of the Moldavian SSR.
Population (2004): 10,001 people, including 3,483 Moldovans (Romanians), 3,054 Ukrainians, and 2,868 Russians.
FC Sucleia, the local football club, plays in the third tier of Moldovan football.
