Racine Township is a rural area in Mower County, Minnesota. It covers 35.9 square miles, all land, and lies in a mainly farming region. The population was 445 at the 2000 census, with 165 households and 128 families. The largest community in the township is the town of Racine, which had 442 residents in 2010. The rest of the township is unincorporated. Racine Township was organized in 1858, and the old village of Hamilton stood about two miles southeast of Racine; the eastern half of that village was in Fillmore County.

In 2000, the township was predominantly White, with a small presence of African American, Asian, and people of two or more races, and about 0.5% identified as Hispanic or Latino. There were 165 households: about a third had children under 18, and 68.5% were married couples. Non-family households made up 22.4%, and 17% of all households were individuals, with 8.5% having someone living alone who was 65 or older. The average household size was 2.70 and the average family size was 3.07. The median age was 38, and there were slightly more men than women.

Income levels were relatively modest: the median household income was about $54,000 and the median family income about $56,000. Males earned a median of around $34,375 versus $27,813 for females, and the per capita income was about $23,320. Poverty was low, with only a small share of the population living below the poverty line.
