Mikio Manaka, born May 22, 1969 in Bando, Ibaraki, Japan, is a former football defender. He is 1.71 meters tall. He went to Sakai High School and the University of Tsukuba. After university, he joined JEF United Ichihara in 1992 and became a regular center back from 1994. In 1997 he moved to Brummell Sendai, making four appearances, and in 1998 he joined Omiya Ardija. In 1999 he moved to Yokohama FC. The club won the Japan Football League in 1999 and 2000 and were promoted to the J2 League. In July 2004, his younger brother Yasuo Manaka joined Yokohama FC, and Mikio retired at the end of the 2004 season. Across his career, he played 230 league games and scored 4 goals. His brother Yasuo Manaka was also a professional footballer.
