Women's EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup
The Women's EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup is Europe’s top annual indoor hockey club competition for women, organized by the European Hockey Federation (EHF). The eight strongest national champions in Europe take part each year, making it the premier indoor hockey trophy for clubs.
History and notable facts
- The competition began in 1990. It was previously known as the Women's EuroHockey Club Champions Cup.
- German clubs hold the most titles with 30 wins. Dutch clubs have won twice, and Ukrainian clubs have one title.
- Rüsselsheimer RK is the most successful club, with 15 titles, including 13 straight from 1994 to 2006.
- Sumchanka are the current champions (2025), defeating SCHC in a 2–0 shoot-out to win their first title and the first ever for a Ukrainian club.
Format
- Eight teams compete, consisting of the champions from nations ranked 1–6 in the previous Cup plus two promoted from the Trophy.
- The teams are split into two groups and play each other once. A win earns 5 points, a draw 2 points, and a loss 1 point (a loss by 3 or more goals earns 0 points).
- The top two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals. The bottom two enter a relegation pool (Pool C); the two worst teams in Pool C are relegated to the Trophy.
