Landon Duckworth (born November 7, 2007) is an American football quarterback for the South Carolina Gamecocks. He grew up in Jackson, Alabama, and starred at Jackson High School. Duckworth became Jackson’s starting quarterback as a freshman in 2022, throwing for 1,985 yards and 20 touchdowns and rushing for eight touchdowns. As a sophomore, he threw for 1,971 yards and 27 touchdowns and ran for five touchdowns. In his junior year, he threw for 3,439 yards and 12 touchdowns and added 648 rushing yards and 12 rushing TDs, helping Jackson win the Class 4A state championship 69–6, where he threw five touchdowns. He was named AL.com’s Coastal Male Athlete of the Year for 2024–25. In his senior season, he led Jackson to another state title, 52–0.

Duckworth also excelled in other sports, helping the basketball team win two state titles and winning a state track title in the 4×100 relay. He was invited to the All-American Bowl and competed at the Elite 11 finals. He was rated a four-star recruit, the sixth-best player in Alabama and a top-10 quarterback in the 2026 class. He initially committed to South Carolina in 2023, de-committed in 2024, re-committed in July 2025, and signed with the Gamecocks in December 2025.
