Mark Smirnov
Mark Smirnov, born in 2012 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, is a Kazakhstani chess player who holds the title of International Master (awarded in 2025). His FIDE rating is 2,425 (February 2026), with a peak rating of 2,425 in January 2026. Smirnov has won world youth titles in the younger age groups: he took the under-12 title at the World Youth Chess Championship in November 2024, and the under-14 title at the World Youth Chess Championship in October 2025, finishing ahead of Jiang Haochen and Artem Lebedev. He also competed in the under-13 division of the ChessKid Youth Championships in May 2025.
