Odesa State Environmental University was a university in Odesa, Ukraine. Since July 2024 it has been part of ONU as a faculty. It was founded on May 1, 1932 in Kharkiv as the Kharkiv Institute of Hydrometeorological Engineering. At the start of World War II, it was evacuated to Ashgabat and stayed there until August 1944. On July 4, 1944, it moved to Odesa and became the Odesa Hydrometeorological Institute. In 2001 it was renamed Odesa State Environmental University. Since 1993 it has educated students in a three-stage system of study and has trained foreign nationals since 1953 (about 1,600 people). More than 200 graduates serve as officers in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It is affiliated with Odesa University since 2024 and is under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
