Mark David Sale (born 27 February 1972) is an English football coach and former professional forward. He played more than 320 senior games, including 321 league appearances with 58 goals, in the Football League and non-league football. He most recently served as Assistant Head Coach of Oxford United.

Born in Burton upon Trent, Sale began as a Stoke City trainee and made his league debut in 1990. After leaving Stoke, he played for Rocester, Birmingham City, Torquay United, Preston North End, Mansfield Town, Colchester United and Plymouth Argyle (on loan), before moving to Rushden & Diamonds. He helped Rushden win promotion from the Conference to the Football League in 2000, despite a Hodgkin’s disease diagnosis in 1999. He later played for Doncaster Rovers, Tamworth (with a Hucknall Town loan), Alfreton Town, Northwich Victoria and Hednesford Town.

As a coach, Sale was youth-team manager at Burton Albion in 2008, then became a first-team coach at Birmingham City from 2014 to 2016. He joined Derby County as first-team coach in March 2017, moved to Stoke City in June 2018, and left Stoke in January 2019. In December 2024 he returned to work with Gary Rowett as Oxford United’s Assistant Head Coach, a role he held until Rowett was sacked in December 2025.
