Loshavn
Loshavn is a small port village in Farsund municipality, Agder county, Norway. It sits at the mouth of Lyngdalsfjorden, about 4 km south of the town of Farsund. In 1865 it had over 200 residents, but today only a few people live there and many buildings are hotels or vacation rentals. The village is known for its well-preserved wooden houses along Norway’s southern coast. Its history includes the Gunboat War (1807–1814), when Loshavn was fortified to defend against Britain, and some locals carried out government-approved privateering against British ships.
