Senate composition at 1 July 1920: Government 34 seats (a 16-seat majority), Nationalists 34 seats, Opposition 3 seats, and Labor 2 seats.
This article covers the Australian Senate membership for 1920–1923. Half of the senators were elected on 5 May 1917 and served from 1 July 1917 to 30 June 1923. The other half were elected on 13 December 1919 and served from 1 July 1920 to 30 June 1926.
