Long Long Time is a folk rock song written by Gary White and performed by Linda Ronstadt. It was released in June 1970 as a single from her album Silk Purse, with "Nobody's" as the B-side. The song is about a lasting love that didn’t end up being a lasting romance. The single version runs 2:59, while the album version is 4:18. It was produced by Elliott Mazer and released by Capitol Records.
The song spent 12 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 25. It was also a hit in Canada, reaching No. 15 on the RPM 100 (her first Canadian single) and No. 8 on CHUM 30. It climbed to No. 20 on Billboard’s Easy Listening chart. In 1971, Linda Ronstadt was nominated for a Grammy for Best Contemporary Female Vocal Performance for this song.
