Blair Strang

Blair Strang (born 15 March 1972) is a New Zealand actor with Māori and European heritage. He is best known for playing ambulance driver Rangi Heremaia on Shortland Street from 1995 to 2001 and Brian King on Nothing Trivial from 2011 to 2014. He has appeared in TV dramas such as Doves of War, Orange Roughies, Interrogation, and Go Girls, and he also featured on So You Wanna Be a Popstar?. Strang has performed in theatre, including Whero's New Net with Massive Theatre Company, for which he won Metro magazine's Outstanding Performance of the Year in 2008. He completed filming Kaitangata Twitch for Māori Television and later acted in the 2023 Netflix film Choose Love as Dan. He holds an LLB from the University of Auckland, majoring in entertainment law, and works as a family lawyer in Albany at North Shore Legal Chambers. He married his Shortland Street co-star Katrina Devine in 2001; the couple later divorced.
