Kokusai-Tenjijō Station

Kokusai-Tenjijō Station (国際展示場駅) is an underground station on the Rinkai Line in Kōtō, Tokyo, operated by Tokyo Waterfront Area Rapid Transit (TWR). The station code is R-03 and it opened on March 30, 1996. It serves the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition center.

Trains run on the Rinkai Line from Ōsaki to Shin-Kiba, and Kokusai-Tenjijō sits between Tokyo Teleport and Shinonome, about 3.5 km from Shin-Kiba. Some trains also run over JR East’s Saikyo Line and Kawagoe Line to Kawagoe.

Layout and features: The station has a single underground island platform serving two tracks. Platform edge doors were installed in fiscal 2018. In 2019, a large ceramic relief by Osamu Tezuka was installed.

Connections: A short walk to Ariake Station on the Yurikamome line (U-12) and a major Tokyo BRT bus plaza near the station (stop B-05).

Usage: In fiscal 2014, about 33,308 passengers used the station daily (boarding only), making it the third busiest on the Rinkai Line after Osaki and Oimachi.

History: Station numbering was introduced in 2016 (R-03).
