Eerwah Vale, Queensland

Eerwah Vale is a rural locality in south-east Queensland, Australia. It is split between the Sunshine Coast Region and the Shire of Noosa.

Population
- 671 people in the 2021 census (527 in 2011, 621 in 2016).

Location and features
- The North Maroochy River forms part of the northern boundary.
- The Bruce Highway runs through the eastern part of the area.
- Mount Eerwah sits in the center, inside the Mount Eerwah Conservation Park.

History
- The township was named after Mount Eerwah. In 1890, the Eerwah Post Office was renamed Mount Eerwah Post Office and served the railway construction period.
- Several small schools opened and closed over the years, including Mount Eerwah Provisional School (1890–1891) and Mount Eerwah State School (1913–1917). Other schools nearby included Brown’s Creek and Eerwah Vale Provisional/State School (1925–1963).
- In 1924, residents announced plans to build a public hall at Eerwah Vale.
- From 2008 to 2013, Noosa Shire became part of the Sunshine Coast Region.
