Juergen Egle
Juergen Egle is an Austrian para-alpine skier in the LW11 disability class. He competed for Austria at four Winter Paralympic Games: Nagano 1998, Salt Lake City 2002, Torino 2006, and Vancouver 2010. He won six Paralympic medals: one gold, three silver and two bronze. Gold: Men’s Slalom LW11 in 1998. Silver: Men’s Slalom LW11 and Men’s Giant Slalom LW11 in 2002, and Men’s Super Combined Sitting in 2010. Bronze: Men’s Slalom Sitting and Men’s Giant Slalom Sitting in 2006. He also finished 13th in the Men’s Super-G Sitting in 2006. At the 2009 IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships he won a gold and a bronze. He has also completed endurance handcycle events: Race Across America in 2006 and Race Across Australia in 2010.
