Slide (FBG Duck song)
Slide is a drill song by American rapper FBG Duck. It was released on December 9, 2017, as a single from his mixtape This How I'm Coming 2. The track, produced by LilRiicoBeatz, runs about 3 minutes and 36 seconds and was released by Sony Music Entertainment and Columbia Records.
The song is a diss aimed at the OTF group (Only The Family), including King Von and Lil Durk. It references Chicago’s South Side, especially the 63rd Street area, and the term “slide” refers to revengeful violence. Duck has said he recorded the song while grieving his brother FBG Brick and that it took about 40 minutes to finish.
The official music video premiered on January 24, 2018, and shows Duck with his crew, with scenes in a house that include firearms. By May 2025, the video had more than 80 million views on YouTube. The track was certified Gold by the RIAA in January 2023.
A remix featuring 21 Savage was released on May 7, 2018, blending drill with Atlanta trap influences. The song helped raise Duck’s profile and contributed to him securing a deal with Sony Music Entertainment.
Slide is regarded as an influential drill track and has appeared on lists like XXL’s Best Drill Songs of the Last Five Years and Vulture’s Brief History of Drill Songs to Know.
