Joan Baez: Classics
Joan Baez: Classics (also known as Classics, Volume 8) is a 1986 greatest-hits compilation by Joan Baez. It focuses on her years with A&M Records (1972–76) and runs 65 minutes and 57 seconds. Produced by Bernard Gelb, the album was released as part of A&M's 25th‑anniversary CD series and was the first Joan Baez compilation issued on CD. It remains one of the most complete collections of her 1970s work. In 1996, it was reissued as Joan Baez' Greatest Hits, using the same track list as Classics and adding three more tracks: The Ballad of Sacco & Vanzetti, Oh Happy Day, and Less Than the Song, along with the same liner notes.
