Greg McCrae
Greg McCrae is an American football running back and slotback who has played in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football for the UCF Knights from 2017 to 2020, and was part of the Colley Matrix national champion team in 2017.
He signed with the Toronto Argonauts before the 2021 season but did not play in preseason and was released in July 2021. On May 6, 2022, he signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
In 2022, McCrae started on the practice roster. After Nic Demski was injured in Week 3, he made his CFL debut on July 4, 2022, against the Argonauts, tallying 3 carries for 18 yards and 3 receptions for -5 yards. Following an injury to Greg Ellingson, he started his first game at slotback on August 25, 2022, vs. the Calgary Stampeders. He finished the season with 15 regular-season games played, 7 starts, 21 carries for 164 yards, 16 receptions for 164 yards, and 1 touchdown. He did not dress for the post-season, including the 109th Grey Cup loss to the Argonauts.
In 2023, McCrae again began on the practice roster but was promoted to the active roster after three weeks and started at slotback. He played 11 regular-season games, starting 4, and had 23 carries for 146 yards and 15 receptions for 182 yards and 2 touchdowns. He became a free agent after the 2023 season.
