1942 RPI Engineers men's soccer team
The 1942 RPI Engineers men's soccer team represented Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the 1942 ISFA season. They finished 5–0–2, their first undefeated season since 1922. Because World War II disrupted the season, no official ISFA or NSCAA champion was awarded that year. The American Soccer History Archives later named the 1942 Engineers co-champions of the national season, along with Princeton, Springfield, and UMass. They were led by head coach Richard Schmelzer (12th season) and assistant coach William Gailey (5th season). Home games were played at Anderson Field.
