Archery at the 2019 Pan American Games – Qualification (short version)

- Total athletes: 84 archers (42 men and 42 women).
- Each country may enter up to 8 archers (4 men and 4 women).
- Host nation Peru automatically gets four spots (one in each individual event).
- Qualification is decided through two tournaments, which determine 62 recurve spots and 18 compound spots.
- Recurve rules: a country may enter up to 3 men and 3 women (six per country). Peru gets automatic spots as host.
- First qualification tournament:
- Top six teams in the team event qualify.
- Plus four individuals from each gender qualify.
- Second qualification tournament:
- Top two teams qualify.
- Plus three individuals from each gender qualify.
- If a country earns an individual quota in the first tournament and a team quota in the second, that country’s individual quota from the first tournament is reallocated to the second tournament’s individual event.
- Ten archers per gender will ultimately qualify through these processes.
- Mixed teams: the top four mixed teams from the first qualification tournament qualify; the remaining two spots per gender are decided at the second qualification tournament.
