FIBA European Championship for Small Countries

FIBA European Championship for Small Countries is the lowest level of the EuroBasket tournament, organized by FIBA Europe. It started in 1988 as the Promotion Cup for Europe’s lowest-ranked national teams and is held every two years. In 2007, the Promotion Cup was renamed EuroBasket Division C, and in 2011, after changes to the EuroBasket divisions, it was renamed to the FIBA European Championship for Small Countries.
