Saint-Sauvant is a small commune in southwestern France, located in the Charente-Maritime department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It covers 17.05 square kilometers and had 515 residents in 2023, giving a population density of about 73 people per square kilometer. The land rises from 8 to 79 meters above sea level, with an average height around 40 meters. The town is part of the Saintes arrondissement and the Chaniers canton, and belongs to the CA Saintes intercommunal community. The mayor for 2020–2026 is Jean-Marc Audouin. The postal code is 17610 and the INSEE code is 17395.
