Gyrodactylus branchialis
Gyrodactylus branchialis is a tiny parasitic flatworm, a type of monogenean. It has been found on the common goby (Pomatoschistus microps) in European coastal waters. The species was described in 2004 by Huyse, Malmberg, and Volckaert. It belongs to the genus Gyrodactylus, in the family Gyrodactylidae, order Gyrodactylidea, class Monogenea, phylum Platyhelminthes, kingdom Animalia.
