Byrsax spiniceps
Byrsax spiniceps is a beetle from the Tenebrionidae family. It was first described in 1894 by George Lewis. The species is native to Korea (Gangwon and Gyeonggi) and Japan, and it is typically found on various mushrooms. It is active in all seasons except winter, with more records in spring and summer. Some sources list Byrsax kimurai as a synonym of B. spiniceps, but Korean authorities treat them as two distinct species.
