Swedish women writers

This article lists women who were born in Sweden or whose writing is closely linked to Sweden. They work in many kinds of writing, from novels and poetry to children’s books and plays. The list shows the different voices and contributions of Swedish women writers over time.

Notable examples:
- Selma Lagerlöf (1858–1940) — the first woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature (1909); wrote The Wonderful Adventures of Nils.
- Astrid Lindgren (1907–2002) — author of Pippi Longstocking and many other beloved children’s books.
- Karin Boye (1900–1941) — poet and novelist known for her clear, expressive writing.
