Acquaviva Platani (Sicilian: Acquaviva Plàtani) is a hill town and comune in the province of Caltanissetta, Sicily, Italy. It sits along a north-south route near the Platani valley. The name means “Living Water,” referring to many natural springs in the area. Until 1862 it was simply Acquaviva; Platani was added to distinguish it from other towns with the same name. Platani is also the name of the nearby river.

The economy is mainly agricultural, with products such as wheat, olives, almonds, and pistachios. Cattle, horses, and sheep farming also provide income.

Sights include the Torre dell'Orologio (Clock Tower), built in 1894, and the 17th-century Chiesa Madre (Mother Church) dedicated to Santa Maria della Luce.

Salvatore Quasimodo, the famous poet, spent part of his childhood in Acquaviva Platani and wrote the poem Che vuoi pastore d'aria? in Nuove Poesie.

The town has about 858 residents (as of 2024).
