Bottoms Up is a studio jazz album by saxophonist Illinois Jacquet. It was recorded March 26, 1968, in New York City and released in 1968 on Prestige Records (PR 7575). The album runs 33 minutes and 46 seconds and was produced by Don Schlitten. In Jacquet’s discography, it follows Go Power! (1966) and precedes The King! (1968). All compositions are by Illinois Jacquet, except where noted. Jazz critic Scott Yanow noted that Jacquet played in a timeless style that hadn’t changed much over the previous two decades, even as jazz avant-garde was influential in 1968.
