Zhou Weiqi (born 1 October 1986 in Changzhou, Jiangsu) is a Chinese chess grandmaster. He earned the title in 2008, becoming the 26th Chinese player to reach GM. He represented China in the World Youth U16 Chess Olympiad in 2000 and 2002. In 2008 he had strong results, finishing second in the Aeroflot Open A2 group and sharing first place in the Philippine International Open in Subic Bay. He qualified for the World Cup 2009 by finishing equal first at the Asian Continental Championship, where he defeated Emil Sutovsky in the first round before losing to Gata Kamsky in the second. In 2009 he also tied for first at the Chigorin Memorial in Saint Petersburg. Zhou won the 2010 IGB Dato' Arthur Tan Malaysia Open in Kuala Lumpur and the Premier section of the 2015 Doeberl Cup in Canberra. He plays for the Jiangsu team in the China Chess League. His current FIDE rating is 2600 (February 2026), with a peak rating of 2646 in July 2015.
