The Man from Texas (1948 film)
The Man from Texas is a 1948 American Western film directed by Leigh Jason. It stars James Craig and Lynn Bari. The screenplay was written by Joseph Fields and Jerome Chodorov and is based on Missouri Legend by Elizabeth Beall Ginty, a work tied to the story of Jesse James. The film was produced by Bryan Foy for Eagle-Lion Films and released on March 6, 1948. It runs 71 minutes, is in black and white, and was photographed by John W. Boyle with music by Earl Robinson. The sets were designed by Edward L. Ilou.
Plot:
Tobias Simms leads two lives: he is a husband and father, and also the outlaw known as the El Paso Kid. He struggles between being an honest, self-supporting family man and his outlaw past, using his outlaw skills to help him live as a provider for his family.
