Axel lift
An Axel lift is a pair skating move where the woman is lifted and rotated over her partner’s head for about one-and-a-half turns. They begin with hands linked on one side. The man places his hand under her armpit and lifts her from the outside forward edge of one skate to the outside backward edge of the opposite skate. While she is lifted, he spins underneath her.
